Meet the Doctor
Dr. J. Scott Verner is originally from Amarillo. He graduated from Tascosa High School before moving on to work on his prerequisite requirements for chiropractic at Amarillo College (where he met his wife, Jodi, whom he married in May of 1996) and WTAMU. Dr. Scott graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and a Bachelor's in Anatomy from Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, TX in August of 2000 and wasted no time in getting back to Amarillo, as he began practicing in Amarillo two days after graduation. He and his wife Jodi have two children, Adam who is 8 and Ashlyn who is 3. Dr. Scott is an active board member with the Downtown's Lions Club and is a member of Hillside Christian Church. Over the last several years, Dr. Scott has been actively involved in supporting a number of organizations including, but not limited to, the Inter-faith Hunger Project, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Texas Panhandle, the American Red Cross, the World's Greatest Athletes Chiropractic Decathlon Club (which supported Olympic Decathlon hopefuls such as Tom Pappas), and the local Muscular Dystrophy Association with which he was recently named as one of "Amarillo's Most Wanted." Office Manager
Jodi, Dr. Scott's wife, has been the Office Manager and Insurance/Billing Specialist in our office since March of 2003. Jodi is from Amarillo and is a graduate of Randall High School. Following high school graduation, Jodi attended Amarillo College (where she met Dr. Scott in the Amarillo College Choir) and WTAMU in pursuit of a degree in Music Therapy. Jodi, a Board-Certified Music Therapist, worked in the field for seven years before making Encompass Chiropractic her secondary focus (only preceded by her primary focus of her two children and husband). Jodi's primary goal is to make everyone's visit to our office an enjoyable and stress-free experience, and to help the patient reach their health care goals by assisting the doctor. "I want every patient to know that we value them as an individual and that we will do everything in our power to help them in their pursuit of optimum health. I know from personal experience, chiropractic has enabled me to live a much fuller and healthier life. It also enabled me to have a much more comfortable experience through two pregnancies - well - as comfortable as anyone can be during that event in life!" Chiropractic Assistant - Rehabiliation Coordinator
Sarah has been with our team since July of 2006. Sarah is a graduate of Tascosa High School and someday hopes to pursue a degree in computer graphics animation. Sarah assists the doctor with a variety of tasks including exams and working with patients on a variety of physical therapy modalities. Sarah, and several of her family members, are patients at Encompass Chiropractic. Sarah says she has seen a dramatic improvement in the way that she feels and functions (including a significant decrease in migrane headaches) since undergoing regular chiropractic treatments. Chiropractic Assistant - Patient Services Coordinator
Theta has been a member of the Encompass Chiropractic team since September of 2006. Theta has lived in a variety of places, including the great state of Colorado, but has called Amarillo home for many years. Theta worked for Northwest Texas Healthcare System for many years before joining our team. Theta greatly enjoys working with our patients on a daily basis. She feels that her primary role in the office to assist the patient in any way that she can to make them feel comfortable and welcomed. Theta assists Dr. Scott and Jodi with a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, scheduling and daily collections. Chiropractic Assistant - Marketing Director
Bethany joined our team in September 2008 after recently moving back from Tennessee. Bethany is a native of Amarillo and a graduate of Tascosa High School. Bethany is a licensed cosmetologist and continues to do work in this field for family and friends. Bethany assists Jodi with insurance work and marketing. She also helps out in the office with any task that is needed to make our patients visit a positive experience. Bethany has received chiropractic care since she was a teenager and she is excited to again receive regular chiropractic care to improve and maintain her health. Bethany has been married to Steven (a chef at Ohms downtown) for 2 and a half years. They have one daughter, Saige who is 2 years old. Contact Bethany at bethany@encompasschiro.com.
